Surfer Rule nace en 1990 (abril), plena crisis económica. Tras 5 primeros años de "anda-dura" y esfuerzos incesantes por financiar la revista en base a patrocinio de marcas, se va consolidando como proyecto mediatico dirigido al surf.

These days with no waves might be curious by one sight. What are they doing? What do they enjoy doing while we´re all waiting for the swell in this stand-by?

Some of them they´re surely making friends at the bar. Who didn´t take a chance to taste more than an excellent meal by the hand of basque gastronomy artists? Sightseeing, shooting photos and giving interviews, playing mental games and twettering and training, making the effort not to get stressed due to the missing essential.

Second day at the BillabongPro9 Mundaka, and it has been called a lay day waiting for a better swell. So far, 8 heats have been played in the first round. Australian surfers had made a good start in it, except for Phillip MacDonald, who had competed with Tiago Pires and had been close to get the next round. There  we will see Drew Courtney, Ben Dunn and Kai Otton triying to do their best.
