18 Australian surfers. Billabong Pro Mundaka 09.

Second day at the BillabongPro9 Mundaka, and it has been called a lay day waiting for a better swell. So far, 8 heats have been played in the first round. Australian surfers had made a good start in it, except for Phillip MacDonald, who had competed with Tiago Pires and had been close to get the next round. There  we will see Drew Courtney, Ben Dunn and Kai Otton triying to do their best.



18 surfers coming from Australia had reached the Mundaka Billabong Pro 09, therefore it`s natural to see them fighting each other for next round. Joel Parkinson and Mick Fanning will probably have to beat their contrymen down to get round 3, and I hope they do.

Hope as well, Aritz Aranburu will meet any Australian surfer after overcoming Hawaian Dustin Barca.
